Here are some questions for the next several verses ...
- What is the exhortation in this passage?
- How are the Philippians able to do what is asked of them?
- How are they to respond to the exhortation given?
- What does it mean to work out one’s salvation and what is the purpose?
Grace and peace to you.

Carmen says:
Our lights are to shine! It's difficult to live a pure life if we aren't given guidance by those who are our great leaders in the church. Each time I miss church on Sunday due to our traveling out of town, It's harder for me to focus on God and I get caught up in fleshly things more often than not. Paul is telling them to stay strong even without him. He is asking them to be as one and not have discord among them. Ridding themselves of division, -working out their own salvation. Remembering that God is always along side of us in our struggles. A changed life is submitting to His control and allowing Him to work.
