Read Philippians 1:9-11.
- Summarizing it in your own words, what is it that Paul is praying for the Philippians?
- Why does he pray these things? In other words, what does he want them to look like/be like?
I realize that these are very general questions, but I think answering these questions will help you understand these three verses a bit more which I will address on Monday. Until then, God’s grace and peace to you.

I may be way off, but here goes.
I think Paul is praying for the Philippians to have a more solid love - not something just warm and fuzzy ("that your love may abound more in knowledge and depth of insight")
- that this love will give them knowledge and insight to know how to live (apart from sin)
- and will result in a life filled with "the fruit of righteousness"
- which will give glory and praise to God
Angie, what does he mean by "fruit of righteousness"? Is he speaking of good deeds or the spiritual benefit from knowing him?
